Frink returned to London, but still referenced animals and birds that she had lived so closely among while in France, the sculptures show her ability to work from memory and imagination. At le Village they were surrounded by woods and would see wild boars by moonlight making their way down to the river. She was attracted by their ...emblematic qualities.
