Smartwatch is equipped with technology made by NASA, is it true? – Japanese watch company, Citizen Watch (CZ) introduces a new smart watch (smartwatch) that is quite unique, called Smart PQ2. Its uniqueness is the artificial intelligence (AI) technology that equips the CZ Smart PQ2. Because, the technology was developed by a team of NASA researchers with the contribution of IBM Watson. President of Citizen Watch, Jeffrey Cohen, said that the technology would be used to maximize the existing health programs on the CZ Smart PQ2. The smartwatch consists of 3 modes, namely Casual, Sport and Hybrid modes. For example, the feature counts the user’s footsteps, calculates body temperature, provides information about the weather, can connect using a Bluetooth connection, receive e-mail notifications, and so on.

Features of a smart watch

This smart watch has a 1.28 inch wide AMOLED screen and is equipped with a touchscreen feature (touch screen) so that the user can more freely control directly on the device screen. In terms of features, the smartwatch is equipped with Snapdragon Wear 4100 Plus and has the Google WearOS interface. The device offers 1GB of RAM and 8GB of storage. Programs on the device are divided into Google Play, Google Maps, Amazon Alexa, Spotify, YouTube Music, Strave, CZ Smart YouQ, and CItizen Connected. CZ Smart PQ 2 is claimed to be compatible with Android or iPhone devices. Other supporting features that complement this smartwatch are NFC, speaker and microphone, notifications for voice calls and messages.

Power problems, the device is said to last for 24 hours a day (Casual and Sport variations) or 18 days for the Hybrid variation, depending on the usage of the device. Citizen did not mention the battery capacity of the CZ Smart PQ2 series. Especially for the Hybrid version, this device has a 3 ATM certificate (splash-resistant and atmospheric suppression at a depth of 30 meters). Citizen Watch claims that users will still get a full 2-year warranty.

The color variations sold differ depending on the mode. Sport and Hybrid modes offer the same variations, namely Silver, Black, Silver and Black combination, Gold and Black, and Silver and Blue. Meanwhile, the Casual variety offers simpler colors, such as Rose Gold, Silver, Gold, and Black. The price tag starts from 399 US dollars to 499 US dollars (Rp. 5.88 million – Rp. 7.36 million) according to the mode chosen by the user. Users can also buy a strap for the watch according to their wishes separately. The available straps offer a variety of styles, such as straps made of leather, silicone, to mesh bracelets.
